Whenever we check our email we have to wade thru dozens (even 100s) of product promotions. The profuse offers being thrown at us might cause information overload if we try and handle each one of them. Since the vast majority of the offers are for hardly relevant, outdated junk or of otherwise dubious value we frequently just pass over them, pay no attention to them and look for any valid mail in the heap.
There are certainly nonetheless , the infrequent exceptions...
