How the Americans with Disabilities Act Helps Disabled Staff
The U.S. Government has passed 1 or 2 laws which protect American employees in the workplace. One of them is The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was implemented by Congress in 1990. It was signed into law by then President Bush and later amended in January of 2009. This Act proscribes employers from discriminating against workers and applicants who are disabled, have a record of disability or who are regarded as disabled.
