The god thing about being a creative writer is that there are no rules. You can go on writing courses to boost your talents but you'll doubtless learn more from being around the other writers or being around others generally. The good thing about writing is you may be whatever you want throughout the day - a doctor, a baker, a SEO specialist, a bricklayer - but at night you can be a writer.
